Goals For Chemistry
In chemistry, my first goal is to learn the importance of the subject. I have already learned that the study of chemistry helps in discovering the composition of objects, but I want to learn more. For example, I want to learn more about what led to the discovery of all these things that created the study of chemistry. My second goal is to learn to apply chemistry to my life. I use so many of the elements on the periodic table everyday without being aware I am. I want to learn other ways in which I use chemistry in my every day life.

If you were an element what would it be like?
If I was an element I would be a new rare kind of metal. My element name would be Dillonium and my symbol would be Ds (My initials). I would be a type of metal because I am useful. Metals are usually the stronger of all the elements and I feel I am strong in many ways, physically and mentally. Metals can also be very pretty and shiny, which pertains to my personality. My melting point would be very high because I am slow to anger. My atomic number would be very high because I have a very positive attitude on life.

What am I learning about myself as a student in chemistry?
As a student of chemistry, I have learned many new things about myself. For example, I have learned that I can participate in chemistry class. I never knew I had so many different things to offer. I learned that I can have fun, even though I am doing schoolwork. I have learned that I enjoy doing labs and learning about how and why things happen the way they do. Lastly, I have learned that I take the way things are for granted. There are so many things happening around me that I never would have even thought about. For example, I never though about there being millions of particles around me as I perform activities.
